Stan Actually, the water is dropping. It peaked out at just under 71 feet on the spillway gage yesterday and today it's now at 70.43 feet @ 1:15 PM. When it gets below 70 feet, Boy Scout Island will cease to be an island again. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/hi/nwis/uv/?site_no=16210000&PARAmeter_cd=...

Boy Scout Island ablaze

I was heading back to the ramp after fishing the North Fork most of the day. Came around the bend and saw this. Another reason for keeping the water level higher. Yesterday's news did not say what the cause was but I would wager it was arson. http://www.postimage.org/aV1uKXWi.jpg http://www.postimag...

Wahiawa park closure

Did you guys see the news? Due to the budget shortfall, the Wahiawa park is one of the parks being considered for closure around mid summer. That means they plan to lock the gate so no access to the boat ramp. Anyone have some good ideas for action we can take to prevent it from happening? Maybe we ...

I too like to use the 2" senkos but G. Yamamoto will no longer be selling them in the US. You can still get some from the overstock page of the website. According to the listing, it will no longer be available when stocks run out. Stock up now!

Nice catch Ken!

Those sturgeons will give you a good work out! My personal best was caught on the Columbia River in the Hanford Reach area. It measured 109 inches and 471 pounds. You only need to catch one a day to find out what condition you're in. I quit after the third one.

I usually drop off plane if I see bank fishers long before I get to them but sometimes you guys are hard to see when you're in the shadows. Again my apo...
