You can find most of the boating information you need at this site. http://hawaii.gov/dlnr/dbor/ There are some sample registration forms so you can see what information you need to have. You will still have to fill out the form at the DOBOR office. Renewals can be done on-line. Sorry I didn't respo...

Just for your information, as soon as you power your inflatable or kayak, it becomes a powered craft and must be registered. If you keep it human powered then no registration is needed. On the rare occasion that DLNR is on the lake, I have never been stopped except for fish surveys. Others have repo...

I think both products work equally well. I bought the BBS because you can get free shipping. The only problem is you have to buy at least 5 gallons so it's lasted me nearly 4 years and I still haven't used half. I saw your posts on Bass Boat Central and knew it was you when you posted a picture of y...

I use a product called "Bass Boat Saver". It's a cleaner and wax combination. You need to clean your boat really well and apply a couple of coats of the stuff. Then every time you use the boat, just wipe it down with a damp towel and the Bass Boat Saver. The red dirt will still stain the boat but a ...

Thanks guys! I appreciate the comments.

Next project is to work on the trailer. New bunks and repaint. Wish I could borrow a trailer for a week to stow the boat on.

The Skeeter is mine. It is a 1998 ZX-176c that originally had a 150 HP Vmax outboard on it. I bought it on Craigslist in 2007 from a guy in Halawa. It needed a lot of TLC at the time. Beside all the cosmetic work, the trolling motor was weak and the batteries were shot. Did not have any electronics ...

Go to the Bass Boat Central forums (bbcboards.net). In the trolling motor section, the moderator is the owner of a authorized service center. John Jones is very helpful and can help you troubleshoot your problem as well as sell you the parts if you choose to do so. He has a very good reputation. My ...

It was 10 blocks this morning when I launched. Didn't count when I hauled out but I would guess around 12 at 4:30.

Spillway Gage

I sent a feedback email to the Honolulu office of the USGS a few days ago after the gage stopped reporting on 8/25/10. They told me the primary water level system was not working and they are using the back-up system. Unfortunately the back-up cannot measure below 68 feet. So until it's repaired we ...

I fished from 8:30 to 3:00 on Fridays and boated just four small tucs. The largest was just a pound and a half. All were caught on 2 inch senkos and they were holding real tight to wood. The tucs are starting to pair up but have not started nesting yet. If you cast towards them they will head for de...

2" Yamamoto Senko

You can still get 2" senkos from Gary Yamamoto's on-line store. Only in red or gold/pearl. The gold/pearl works as good as the white. They're listed in the close out section.

forest boundry

RW

Based on this map http://www.state.hi.us/dlnr/dofaw/frs/F ... 0Oahu2.pdf I think you will run out of navigable water before you reach the boundary. However, between the state, county and federal jurisdictions I don't know exactly where it is.
