Garage Sale

Hey guys, I don't know if this is allowed but I wanted to post my Garage Sale. As some of you have seen Nole's old nitro on the lake, its me. When I purchased the boat it came with all his equipment. I love to fly fish but I don't need all this stuff. I will also have several bass fishing rods/reels...

Re: Obstacles

If you put in by boy scout island or off the main road - you cant go wrong with small streamers, small castmasters, rapalas etc for schoolers right now. other than that the Tucs are posted up on rocks and big logs. I like small flukes and senkos

Re: Lake level down / fishing good.

Fishing Sunday was good - topwaters and gold spoons. they really starting schooling good at the dam area about 5PM, as usual. I had some good largemouth bites in topwater on isolated logs. - Just be careful getting close to some "tents" in the woods. May need a helmet from the rock artille...

Re: Hawaii Smallmouth Bass

Also - I don't know if anyone has caught or seen any smallies in the north fork at lake Wilson, but the last 4 times ive been up there I have not. I got up there last month when the water was low and clear. The only bass I caught were largemouth. You could probably catch a lot of catfish there on a ...

Re: Hawaii Smallmouth Bass

Thanks crash and Stan for the info - My wife and I did fish at the garden and below. You do have to be careful about the rules at the garden, but its fishable. I don't know the rules on reels, but we just flipped baits around. We basically just used a flipping stick and flipped baded jigs (barbless)...

Hawaii Smallmouth Bass

Hey guys - I have read some of the old threads about smallmouth here on Oahu - but I have a few questions as my search continues. Has anyone went after them in the lake at the Botanical Gardens in Kaneohe? Is it worth going up the creek from k-bay towards the lake, and can you? The only access I can...

MUD

The lake has a lot of mud coming in with rising water, but don't let that keep you away. Where the water gets clear at the dam on both forks from boyscout island to kincaids area is still producing largemouth and tucs. The water is muddy all the way up the north fork as of yesterday. All lot of bass...

Great Report

Good report Stan! I spent my first time really fishing the lake that day. I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t see the huge peacocks spawning, like in my dreams the night before, but it was still fun! Some may still be spawning but they really seemed like they were on the move. I would see pa...
