Thanks for the tips everyone! I'll probably stick with power pro. I got a new phenix MH rod to go with it. Can't wait to test everything out!

I have a half empty spool of braid. Should I put that on my reel first and then add the new line?

I planning on using it for flipping and pitching mostly. Im gonna try using sufix braid. So you think 150 yds should be enough? I don't mind buying the larger spools but I'm not sure were the best place to buy them.

I might just do it myself. I want to put 40lb braid on it but I need to find a big enough spool of line. The curado 300 can hold over 200 yds of 40lb braid I think

Where can I spool my new reel

I just got a new curado 300 for Christmas. Does anyone know if there is a store that can spool line on for me? Also if you do would you happen to know how much it cost for this service?

Small stream bassin

Managed to get 3 smallmouth and surprisingly a largemouth bass too. all of the smallmouth were about 7-8 inches so not bad size for up there. All fish were caught on the FilthyFishermen curly tail grub in green pumpkin rigged on a baitkeeper hook with a split shot. If anyone wants to go with me next...

It seems like one of the better spots there as long as you don't mind falling down a couple of times!

went fish hiking today. I found a new spot (new to me at least)! It was a challenge getting there and im pretty used to hiking and climbing. Found a nice spot and caught a few bronzebacks on a white in-line spinner (basspro brand). This was my biggest one of the day http://s15.postimage.org/6y7norl1...

After work

Jeff took Marcus and I up to the lake today. Fishing was pretty good once we found out where the fish went. Learned some stuff too! Both Jeff and Marcus caught a bunch of largemouths. The larger of the two peacocks probably weight around 2.5-3 lbs. Good fishing day for the FilthyFishermen bait co. h...

the strange part was that it was living under the same boulder as a smallmouth. I threw my lure, the smallmouth darted out and chased it but swam away. I casted again and the cichlid tilapia thing hooked up and the smallmouth came out trying to take the lure out the cichlids mouth!
