Yup thats what we did... Find a steep drop off and just cast out weightless or with a small split shot

I think its near the Kunia Rd Pt definitely before Boy Scout Island. The fish were busting there though!

We went out on Friday at about 7:45 and had similar results to you. We wanted to go see the big schooling and busting on shad that everyone talks about. Now I know its not anything dramatic but I was wondering how the lake has dropped 6 inches over the past couple of days. Since the lake is a lot higher, 6 inches is a lot of water...Where is it going?!

I dont know if parking at UH is a good idea because they will ticket anything that doesn't have a permit... Maybe try down on Dole St... then walk to the stream...
