My wakata 13' arrived last week. I have yet to try it out. I have never fly fished before and thought the tenkara would be a great start. I hope it performs well.

I ordered a tenkara wakata. It's not supposEd to be as good as the amago. Which I really Wont be able to tell since it's my first tenkara. It was made in japan and I wonder if it differs because others are made on china.

I was watching one of the tenkara videos and the guy pulled in the bottom segment to cast a shorter pole. Then pulls it back put when hooks fish. Have you guys ever tried that?

I guess I should feel pretty lucky that my order got to me on time. They even sent me a member card, lol. Cabelas doesn't have some things that bps carries. That's the only draw back.

I'm a newbee to the lake. Only fished a few times. Sometimes trolling works with lures. I will definetly say it's harder to cast from a kayak. But we make due. We have a hard time anchoring by shore. I feel ur pain. My son and I have a tandem kayak and have only gone up to bluegill bay. I can only imagine how hard it is to paddle a inflatable. At least my son or I can take a break while the other paddles. But we do get a lot of exercise. Do you guys catch anything trolling? I hope you get that m...
