Drove along Lake today, Looks Super High all this rain sure it great. Man I haven't posted here in a year I think.

Yea one of those strikes was right outside my house. Heard the sizzle and boom of the lightning. Just said forget it.

yea i agree, we get lazy and don't liek retieing lure on the line when a quick snap or swivel is faster, but why cant lure makers just make the lure to work with a quick disconnect that still has all the same action.

I'm just glad to see the lake full of water again. hoping for a awesome summer season.

Forgot to say First fish ever caught in lake wilson. Family is from MN so been fishing forever, but not here in hawaii. It sure is different.

Nothing wrong with wanting to drive around the lake with Style 8) I've been looking at bait casting reels for a while. they seem cool, but i have bad exp with a salt water big one and just nothing but burned thumb and backlash. But i am willing to try out a nice rod and reel anyday. maybe i will get...

Me and Roadwarrior went out sunday. Morning was better and died around noon. Good time to eat lunch i guess. Caught my first fish ever in that lake with live bait. worked a shore line with 2 in senko and they were really chasing it, but would not take it. 6 times that happen in 2 mins. Really bumbed...

if you look on the Map N,L, J,K,H are all shore spots you can fish, as you near the Masonic lodge just be on the look out for homeless, lots of them live behind there. They scared away my wife and I. Around the boat ramp near 4-630p is good to. But it is off season so not so much action.

Yup ran into the same situation last week. Just really waiting for warmer water, or spawning season.

If anyone wouldn't mind a Mil Vet fisherman, I just want a chance to fish in different spots around the lake (and finally catch something, Other than Logs). If you have space on your boat for one guy, I would really appreciate it.

Tried to go the north side of the lake. Under the bridge going to North Shore. Not really a good place. seems like the only places really accessable is the park area and along the road from Mil housing area to the Lodge, but not many places along there either.

Well yea a boat would be nice. Or if someone happen to have a seat available on one I would rent space on one. Going to try again tomorrow. Maybe silver spiners. Or grub with shot.
