Clarks Hill

It appears to me that you made some key adjustments. Understanding bass behavior and the lakes layout dictated your applications, instead of "GUESSING". Making the right decisions will always score big. But it is heartbreaking to lose two quality fish that would have made a big difference in the out...

Clarks Hill

I thought you did some right things on the water. With a large field of anglers, you know the obvious areas will get pounded. You would think with the shad spawning and the abundants of blue back herring just about everywhere fishing should have been better. The bait fish will key on certain things ...

Nice Cat

I bet he fought well. I can see why your red eye shad does well there. With all those blueback herring as forage, theres some monsters in that lake. Good luck with your tourny fishing.

Lake levels keeps dropping and dropping. The bass seems to be reacting to water levels. They werent where they was two weeks ago. But they are predictable in there movements. They seem to be in between and scattered. Caught 12 bass junk fishing and a few peacocks. So they are still biting. Just had ...

Ca-Bass is correct. Every lake goes through phases. To evaluate a fisheries by bank fishing with live bait or fishing every so often is not an accurate assesment of the population of peacocks. There are so many variables involved. Yes, you dont have the abundants of big peacocks like a few years ago...

Great day fishing for both species. Bite is on. Landed a 4.4,3.5 and 3.3 lb peacock. Culled a 2.10 peacock and a 3 lb and 2.5 lb bass and a bunch of others. They werent bunched up, just one here and there. But when you found an area, they bit good. Go out and give it a try, I know you will catch you...

re:TOC

Saturday was a tough day to catch any quality fish. It doesnt do any good to catch 15 bass when they are less than 2 lb. Couple of guys caught numbers but no size. Sunday was a lot better. Got two quality bites and landed them both. Still, there were a bunch of small ones biting. So fishing is good,...

Must be good to be fishing different waters, instead of just one lake all the time. Here, were stuck with Lake Wilson. You can really expand your knowledge on a variety of struture and cover. lucky guy.

Trolling motor battery was low on charge, so switched to cranking battery. It held up for six hours. Bad start with equipment, but good day for fishing. About 14 bass. There was also a club tournament going on. With the water dropping, the fish were positioning themselves where I thought they would. ...

Awesome day fishing for bass, caught 21 bass today, but none over 2 lbs, geez. But lots of fun. The most fun was figuring out the puzzle. Past monday was good also but not as much bass. Theres plenty of fish waiting for you to catch, I know you will get your share also.

Peacocks Galore

Went out sunday, water is at full pool, cleared up quite a bit. peacocks were biting well. A handful of small ones. But two that went close to 4 lbs. and a monster that got unbuttoned at the boat. Found a pattern for them in the grass. Yep, theres grass every where, but they were relating to very sp...

Bama Rig

I believe Andy Poss is the inventor of the Alabama Rig. He fishes on the FLW tour. Dan Morehead won a Everstart Tourn. recently using the Bama Rig. To bad we cant use it on Lake Wilson, cause the amount of hooks on it. You could, if you use just one of the baits with hooks on weekends and two hooks ...

Gaining access on lakes or ponds to fish on Kauai can be difficult. You need to know the right guys. Try to contact Tom, of Toms barefoot tours. He knows every lake and pond there. Hes been around a long time.
