Jaguar Cichlids
So I looked up what Modest_Man said about the possibility that what we thought was a Jaguar Cichlid was actually a Wolf Cichlid. Parachromis dovii ( Wolf Cichlid ) 72 centimeters or 28 inches http://s12.postimg.org/gcfe8fi21/Parachromis_dovii_guapote_wolf.jpg Parachromis managuensis ( Jaguar Cichlid...

Hi Dan, You can fish Lake Wilson without a boat however, you will have limited access to some areas. The banks can be quite steep in places so be careful if you plan to do this. I think in general access to either the North or South forks are about the same. If you fish for bass back home, the same ...

The cichlid became catfood and was not thrown back into the lake. The fish was caught in a stretch between ironwoods and the county yard. A concern is that it was caught off of a single branch off of the bank in an area that one would suspect is a good place for a bass. Hope these cichlids are not c...

jaguar cichlids
Was out on the lake this past weekend and the other angler on our boat hooked into what we thought was a good sized bass. Turned out to be a jaguar cichlid and a fairly large one at that. We estimated that it went close to two pounds. http://s30.postimg.org/y37804wi5/jaguar.jpg take a good look at t...

Best part is that the course is FREE! http://www.boatus.org/courses/ If you're interested, here's a link to the DLNR Q &am...

I guess the trick is to figure out what the bass will bite from one day to another. Some of the same kinds of things that a...

We were on the Lake on Sunday and witnessed sightings of a large creature that would occasionally break the surface. It had a big tail and was kinda pinkish in color. We t...

Prawns like crawfish were also introduced into Hawaii and like other alien species, escaped their original habitat and are now found in most streams. I've never seen a prawn in Lake Wilson but not surprised that you found one. There's all kinds of creatures in that lake. And as roadwarriorsvt would ...
