This is one of the secret spots that the anykine anglers fish. May not have bass but catching papio and kaku can be fun. see post below htt...

anykine anglers

Yes I did hear about that tagged fish from the Ala Wai ending up being caught off of the Big Island. My anykine partner Garey mentioned that one of his previously tagged fish from the Ala Wai was caught near Sand Island after 600+ days on the run. That papio grew 7 1/2 inches from the time of the in...

HFFA early bass bite

" The early bird catches the worm " , the same holds true for catching bass. 12 anglers in five boats brave the elements to fish in the February HFFA tournament. The weather conditions included blustery winds, light to moderate early morning rains and mostly an overcast day turning to more sunshine...

New To Hawaii & Wanting To Get Out On The Lake!!

Fluorocarbon Line Palamar Knot

Haven't really noticed that fluorocarbon line is much different from mono line when it comes to Palomar knots. I've never had a palomar knot fail on fluorocarbon line yet, although I have not had anything really big on that would stress the knot so can't say for sure.
