Re: Lake Water Level?

I too have been away for some time, about 4 years, went to school in Arizona and been deployed for the last 7 months. I'm coming back to Hawaii for Christmas leave and would like to know the conditions as well. All I really do now is trout fishing since I'm stationed in Colorado, but I'm really look...

Summer Fishing Lake Wilson 2013

Its been a tough summer for me this year. Not nearly enough schooling largemouths as i would like to see. And the overall fishing hasn't been what i had expected it to be, but i still found some that were willing to bite. Most of the largemouths that were caught, bit soft jerk baits. FF Kona minnows...

i thought it was a golden at first but then I noticed it had spots under the lateral line, goldens usually don't have that. im guessing a hybrid of some sort.

Help me identify this trout

Caught this beauty on my fly rod in the eastern Sierra back country, but i can't seem to find out what kind it is. It looks like a rainbow but that vivid pink line and narrow shaped head makes me think it could be a cutthroat or rainbow/cutthroat hybrid. Except the area I fished was only known to ha...

Yep, we think we saw it. I think it had a marking on the side, looked like a circle with a cross in it? My memory is vague but I think I remember seeing that marking on the side of the boat towards the back.

i also got to test out a couple more trokar hooks. Not too bad this time only missed one. Still, i dont think i can buy them regularly due to their high prices. And i do just as good with owner and gamakatsu.

report 8/17/12

No school today so we headed out to the lake. Started off slow with one largemouth on a shakeyhead, 1/8th green pumpkin head, green pumpkin FF treat worm. Not much after that so we headed back to the ramp to get lunch. After, the action picked up when we found the schooling pattern. Used up all my n...

FF report 8/11/12 and trokar hooks review

Went fishing for a bit with my dad to chase the afternoon bite. Blue bird skies and barely any cloud cover so it was HOT on the lake today. First, tried throwing the ff treat worm on a shakeyhead at points and got nothing. Threw the agent utah at some cover and got nothing also. After no bites for a...
