I was anti live bait but yep I truly went to the dark side. I got one a rapala but the rest were all on live bite. Felt like I was cheating but still a fun day.

Well, thanks to all your help I had a great day on the lake. I caught 6 good size Tucs today and lost quite a bit. I was on my usual spots and caught them on live bait and lures. The largest was around 3 lbs but the one that straightened my hook got away. Not sure how big it was but it sure did pull...

Unfortunately, nothing that nice. I am going to order it from bass Pro. I will probably get a Daiwa or the Bass Pro model.

Nice fish! I'm debating right now on a 6'6" or 7'. Right now i'm leading toward the 7' for longer casting.

The rapala was one of the lures I just got in the mail. I will be using that for sure. Where exactly is the Island? From where you saw me getting in that day is it towards the boat launch area or Miki Miki Point? Thanks again for all the advise.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I think im going to get some live bait next time and try that. Hopefully that will do the trick.

As a new fisherman to the lake, I unfortunately never had a chance to meet Tom. However, after reading all the posts I feel like I have missed out on meeting an incredible, generous and kind man. What an example of how to treat others. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
