The state can never do anything right to bad I think if they had the bigger ones there would be a lot more tourist coming to hawaii to fish! Even if they were 10-15 lbs would be something those tucs would have a lot of food to eat they could eat anything in the lake. Turtles,redevils,tilapia,catfish...

If we had those fish in here I wouldn't go to work! I seen a couple pairs on the shore recently do they go into spawn soon? Last week I caught 1 with a small bump on his head.

Funny you mentioned this the other week when I was catching a lot of tucs I brought my 11 foot telescopic halalu pole in the late evening and put power pro line on it and put a talapia right in the school and broke my pole first try. Maybe 4lb tuc Was funny until my pole snapped. Could see that idea...

Have the bass been biting good I caught 2 during the weekend by mistake can't remember the last time I caught 1 I think it was last summer

I usually start fishing about 4:00 any earlier is tough fishing brought a bunch of bait yesterday and they came around late about 5-530 maybe because it was a Saturday
Boats were flying past the tucs! weekdays the lake is a lot quieter.

Come on buddy we live in hawaii on a island with ahi,mahi mahi,ono and other good saltwater fish did you ever see how polluted lake wilson is for god sake there a sewer plant dumping sewage straight in the water! strictly for sport!

Took a buddy of mine fishing this evening brought a lot of bait and just the way it goes not as much tucs as the other days i didnt have enought bait. fished for about two hours untill the sun went down.

nah i shame i would be nervous to be on tv and my luck that day the tucs wouldnt bite lol! i dont do nothing different if my lures dont work and nothing works than go to live bait.

they were biting both on the top nailing them and on the bottom even used the dead baits and they were still biting them!

Fished on the north fork this evening lots of schooling tucs on the points caught about 30 tucs in two hours with talapia and cichlids would have caught more but had to keep catching bait kept running out quick tried rapala but wouldn't bite just live bait. So all you master baiters go buy your bait...

saw a bunch of tucs on the north fork in schools of 2 to 15. bunch of shad just cruising in the middle with sporadic busts tried lures nothing tucs actually swam away from lures then caught live bait and could only get two to bite threw bait right in the pile and they just looked at it and swam away...

Water on the north fork still normal green color water up 2 feet wish it was up 20 feet make it easier to launch my boat. Curious how this summers going to be with the low water hopefully the it will still have a good spawn.

I caught the little reddevils while trying to catch chiclids for bait usually tight in deep cover or under the cement slab on the right side of the ramp caught them orange and purple there hiding from the tucs if u got one of those and theres a tuc around they grab it fast when there in the open!
