Barracuda @ Ala Wai
Stan, I've been curious about trying to catch Barracuda on a fly in the Ala Wai. Any tips? Does time of day matter, or is it tide dependent? Which flies work? Bait swimming streamers stripped fast? How about Poppers? Do you cast to the bank or try to sight fish? Thanks for any help you can provide. ...

"Booyah" and bragging rights are powerful arguments but I like Stan's thinking of letting the Legend grow for which there is no comeback. A big fish photo, accompanied by a fishing tale, is something you carry in your wallet. A guy showed me a fish pix just the other day. I asked him if he had a pix...

Tuc on a Fly
Had a productive day on the lake today with a mixture of different flies. Got both Large Mouth Bass and Tucs, but the highlight came at about 1pm. We were fishing with foam popper flies and a cast made tight to the bank between two sunken logs produced a surface explosion made by this... http://i100...

Using Depth/Fish finder
I have to admit I have never caught fish that showed up on a Depth/Fish finder. It occurred to me I may be using this electronic aid incorrectly. When the boat, using a trolling motor cruises over an area and the Depth/Fish finder shows a fish, say at 16 ft on a 20 ft bottom, where to you cast? My D...

Trolling when all else fails?
During his slow time of year with high water and muddy waters, is trolling with crankbaits or spinnerbait recommended?
I prefer using a fly rod but will resort to any level to catch a fish.
How about using rubber worms, Texas rig style?
