i saw your post about the grand slam of the lake being the peacock, largemouth, and red devil. yesterday kirk and i went to check out the lake and caught a bunch of small largemouths (not to be confused with large smallmouths) and little bluegills and a number of small tucs and a few decent ones. an...

the most accurate caster catches the most fish, but the most experienced photographer appears to catch the biggest... why is that? where do you find those 8lb. red devils stan? i've never caught one over 3/4lb.

the spawn is on!

in a nutshell, tucs (spawning and not), choke devils, lots of nest busters scouring the shoreline, and even an occasional scraggly dog. we gotta thank bill for taking that thing to the humane society. not quite like summer madness yet... but i heard rumors that the blue boat has been sighted which m...

lake 04/21/09

took my buddy out for some devil sight fishing. perfect lake weather, overcast, cool and not a drop of rain. saw no one out except for a guy in a canoe with a young kid live baiting off of mikimiki flats. they caught a bunch of peacocks (which is always good when there are kids involved). north fork...
