They can get very wary of the surroundings depending on which ever sections you fish, just like trout. Even before the big rains, I was still catching more than 20 in a days fishing. If people are keeping them, I can only imagine it'll be below the channelized section. I wouldn't keep those fish for...

090110 Nu'uanu Stream

The SMB weren't as active as they usually are. Water levels are a little high still. Water was definitely moving faster than usual. Between me and two friends we caught and landed 3, one each. Two were caught on a Senko on a 1/16oz jig-head and the third on a #10 wooly bugger. All three were in the ...

Post-Thanksgiving

Well finally got hold of some internet time. Stan, myself and my buddy went up to the lake to do some post turkey day relaxation. Water was very low as Stan has previously stated. There was some schooling fish but spread sparingly and all caught were around the 1# range. Total caught around 10 with ...

PS Don't forget to try for the Jaguar Cichlids and Pacu in the UH Quarry Pond. I didn't even know people can fish in that thing. As for fishing the Manoa, I've fished the same section as you have except I started by the high school down by the H1 and stopped at Manoa Valley District Park due...

Friday & Saturday - Manoa & Waikele Stream

Caught one in the Manoa, water is much too murky the farther up you go due to construction, no idea where the smb have gone. Caught in a deep pool that had a buttload of Koi. A cheap shallow crank was used. About 1 1/2lbs. Thought I had snagged a Koi. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v415/NiteStalk...

Berryessa and clear lake are the only two around napa, both are awesome but from what I hear all the lake's water levels are pretty low from FDs when they were fighting the fires, might have changed by now but keep an eye out for that

We've actually caught quite a bunch of those jewel banded ciclids on the lake and used them as bait that day, they dont survive very long with the beating they take at boy scout island haha.

Nope, at least I haven't. I've only fished the Nu'uanu, Maunawili and now the Kamooalii.
