well i heard it was better out of whitmore, however it was worse off on kaukonahua. yesterday i left at 5 am and made it to work at 7 in kapolei. today i left at 430 am and made it to work at 715. traffic was all the way back to the end of the straightaway at the top of the hill, maybe everyone left...

id have to agree with road warrior on that one, gotta be real careful what one tosses in even with the best intentions. I'm actually quite surprised with the amount of live bait fishing going on there aren't larger numbers of wild feeder fish about. guess they are just too tasty hahaha

oddly enough i have seen maybe a half dozen or so pongee in the 2 lb range cruising various locations on the last couple of trips out on the lake. before that the last one i saw was in 2010 and the last one i actually caught i think was 2009. always seem to make a reappearance when the water is lowe...

actually there are two signs. both with different times. i have seen the gate open at 6 and other times open at 630. its almost always before 7 but maybe now that its light out so early closer to 6 will happen more often.

the certified weight was a whopping 3lbs 1oz, and the length was 163/4 in. he's at his new home at the middle school, dwarfing the other jaguar cichlid there. guess my scale is off by 5 ounces!
