well its lost that orange tinge, but it still looks like a big lake of yoohoo. hopefully in another week it will get back to a clear stain, maybe in two back to a decent clarity before they drain it off!!

that is good news, it usually settles down within a few days if the weather holds nice, at least to a manageable color or stain.i think if the weather holds maybe 2 weeks it will be normal and just in time for summer!

well its officially orange all the way to the dam, i think the current going over the dam helps drag the mudline to it faster. i wonder how long it will be chocolate?? mudlines on the boats and forget tucs, make sure you run fresh clean water through the outboards after that muddy lake water!!!

actually snakeheads/pongee were once common here in the lake but have really disappeared for some reason, alot of speculation as to why. i dont think many of the old timers would take kindly to dismantling one and throwing it on the bank, especially since they are so rare now. i have never tried one...

so many ways to fish it really, a short hop hop hop, dragging, shaking. any any combination of them, you really cant go wrong with the retrieve if the spot your in has fish and you just need to keep at it to find a retrieve that works. once you get a fish or two on it you will get some confidence in...

i use mine religiously, it takes awhile to figure out what how to read the things but once you get an idea it really helps establish patterns. it would be nice to get a imaging one but the 2 i have on the boat are midrange hummingbird ones that do alright.
