overnight camping on the lake is prohibited, however I've never seen a dlnr officer after dark anywhere on the island. if it were me id wait till midsummer before you decide to venture out for the overnight trip. keep in mind once your in your in, it gets mighty cold up there in the winter, and even...

id have to agree with the natural swing of a lake. tuc were dominant for awhile now they seem to be less so. there are a lot of factors I'm sure at play. shad may have had bad spawns, weather may contribute. bass are affected the same way. i have even seen a decline in the red devils, don't see as ma...

ya and they run out of charge really fast once they have been used so that extinguisher you gave that guy won't be good for long, not to mention the fire retardant in it might be nearly gone, only thing worse than no fire extinguisher is thinking you have one that will work and then finding out too ...

I'm sure ...

actually i kinda like the 74-72ft range on the lake. but if memory serves, they will drop the level down between 65-68ft like the last few times. its been a pretty dry winter considering they were calling for a repeat of last years wet one. the grass could stand some dry time to fill in again, it wo...

sat 21 report.
blue bird skies light wind and mod temp. was a tough day of fishing again. they had moved since my last trip 2 weeks ago. guess the water dropping made a difference. still managed to catch some nice fish once i figured out where they were. kinda textbook as to where they had moved. did manage a 7lb ...

get one of those steel stringers with all the clips. open the clips up then you got like 12 -20 hooks to drag the bottom with. I'm not sure where you'd get one here, but i have seen em online. a stout cord tied to it will make a great retriever. but if they were close to the bank in an area with lot...

thats really lame, i hope its not one of the regulars that caused it. I'm as guilty as anyone of running on plane once in awhile but you just have to be so careful and pay attention especially on corners. even at slow speed a rubber raft or kayak would take a serious hit. and always respect the shor...
