Another day was spent hiking the upper streams of the north fork. The water was super clear but just trickling in some areas as there hasnt been much rain recently. Some decent sized and depth ponds were around with some Bass and cichlids in it. There were a ton of Jeweled Cichlids though. This time...

We went walking on the south shore flats since the winds were down and came across this guy. I think it was just luck really cuz the water was a bit murky and couldnt really see the bottom. could be a hybrid red devil. rear end looks red devil-ish but the head looks tilapia-ish.

Is it my eyes or compared to all the LM bass that was caught prior to the rains, that one looks super healthy.
