I knew it was bound to happen, just didnt know when. We finally took the boat out this past sunday after a long hiatus of about 2 months. Before heading out I gave the boat and tralier the once over and found the right trailer light cracked. Was it a fellow boater? I don't know. When did it happen? ...

"hike" might not be the appropriate term to use. Try "survival training" with all the boulder filled rapids we had to cross and swim through.

And thats a birdnest on my SPINNER. Imagine when I use a conventional. Geeeeezus!!!!

Respectable Small Mouth Bass

We did more backwoods fishing way, way, way up last week and caught a few biggies or at least the biggest Smallmouth we've ever caught. Most were about 14=16 inches and weight? They weren't starving skinny but looked healthy and full bodied but not as fat as those we see on the fishing shows. Probab...

Here's my 2 cents. State "budgetary shortfalls"- what a bunch of BS. I know times are tough but what it is is misappropriation of funds. I have heard that they intend to spend $500,000 in the upcoming year to- get this- fence off the shore accessible areas of lake wilson. They want to spend precious...

I hope the tucs do eat the baby turtles or there might be an infestation soon. For you guys who've fished saltwater in Hawaii, many, many years ago there was an infestation of filefish and sand tobys. soooooo many that they were washing up on the beaches because of lack of food. anyone remember that?

Sat 5/30/09 -Turtles

One word describes the day- rain. Actually the rain came down hard about 2pm. Actually, it came down in buckets. The red devils were everywhere as were the Tucs. Many many "squadrons" of tucs just cruising the shore and totally ignoring everything including live bait. With a lot of creativity, it wa...

yes, i hope someone can confirm this. Don't you think at least a few would have survived? the water was pretty cold up there. Way up there wasnt many cichlids also so survival of trout fry should have been high.
