Hey Stan, Thanks for the afternoon trip. Caught a few, weather was perfect, a nice afternoon. Met up with Jim, Amy and grand-daughter. Great folks, seemed most of the fish ended up on their side of the boat :) It's been about a year and a half since our last trip. Thanks again for taking me fishing,...

Jeepnkal, Way cool, at least your fishing. I was in Bangkok last week, flew home for 36 hours and flew out to Orlando, for the ICAST show. Setting up our Phenix Rods booth today, show starts Wednesday. Just another day in the fishing community. However, a couple of our guys went fishing last night a...

Jeepnkal, Glad to see you got your wish to go back home. Like you, born in Hawaii, now live in North County San Diego. I do get lucky and go back to Hawaii, a couple times a year. Always try to find the time to fish at Lake Wilson. Still wish I was living full time in Hawaii. I like your fish porn, ...

All, Though Florida strain largemouth bass would have been great, it still goes back to food supply. Does Lake Wilson have enough feed to support the fishery, I don't think so. I get the impression that the largemouth bass strain that is in the lake in more northern. Northern speices are more aggres...

Dang you Stan!! You are a ball buster!! I'm thinking yeah, finally a nice size Tuc (however, I didn't think the picture looked 11lbs). I'm here in Singapore and I hope to get a Tuc over 10lbs in the coming weeks. However, it was a great April Fool Tuc story. Mel - Kahuna bass Darkside fooled by "Apr...

Bad thoughts Stan! I've had my girls tell me, "e-bay", a number of times. Just on the wall hanging, I have over 350 swim baits. Another 50+ in the storage bin. My addiction continues! Now, only if I had the whole garage for "My Man Room"! Wishful thinking. Hope all had a wonderful Christma...

Wow, what a sad picture. That fish just looked wrong! I haven't seen a bass with that big head and super small body in a long time. We've all said it before, the balance in the lake is way out of control. May it be eradicating the red devils, slot limits for Tucs, planting more bluegills, something ...

Hey Rev, Welcome to the island! In due time, you'll meet some of the kindest and wonderful anglers Hawaii has to offer. The folks that fish Lake Wilson are always friendly and always willing to help new anglers. Though I live in the mainland, my roots is still the islands. Enjoy the peacock bass fis...

Stan,

Looks like all had fun.

I agree with your comment, long skinny fish.

All your largemouth heads are much bigger than their bodies. If something doesn't get done soon, survival of the largemouth bass can become something of the past.
