Stan & Skunked, We should start the "Dark side - live baiter/sub 10 lb club  " I had hoped to break the 10 lb mark early this year, but work got in the way. It's all good, it pays for my fishing tackle addiction. You'll have to wait for Mexico, Skunded has to head back to Texas and I'll ju...

Thanks Stan for the great tip! If the planets align for me and I am lucky enough to catch a 10 pound bass at Lake Fork (I'm in Texas right now), with my luck, I'll lose my camera and the photos. This tip could save me from years of anguish. Mahalo! Skunked, Good luck in your pursuit of the double d...

Stan, Your right, it was an excellent calm, overcast day. Fishing with the Darkside boys, eating Zippy Zip Packs, talking fish stories, and not catching a single thing. That's why they call it fishing, not catching 8) . Had the chance to throw some swimbaits. Even had a 8" baby large mouth bass swim...

Hi Ken, Sounds like a winner. I can't promise I'll be in town (most of my work is oversea's), but I will try. No worries, the blanks are yours. I think you'll enjoy wrapping them. I recommend you bring a rod tube. I got other blanks you can have  As long as you use them 8) It should be a good ...

Howzit Ken, Thanks, but were not going with the Graphite USA name. With the issues that the prior company had, which were many. We're looking to have our own name. Of course, that still has not been decieded  Plans are to remain in Southern Cal, still working out the details. If I'm in town du...

Howzit Ken, Yellow Tail fishing is a blast. Espacially on the yoyo iron. As for my charter, this past season, I was a charter master for 4 trips. I was the Rep. for Graphite USA fishing rod company for the past few years. However, in October, the company went out of business. Santa was good to me th...

Hey Stan,

Do large live baits qualify as "swim baits'?

Those little pretty gold fish are nice, but I like them 5" - 6" tilapia's.

Hef, when you have time, go over to general discussion for my swim bait .02 cents. 8)

Good luck all

Greetings all, Just wait when the color start to change to clear. Some of my best bass bites here, occured right after water started to clear. If you can find an area where there is a transition from mud to clear, fish right at the edge of the mud line, most bass and Tuc's are hiding and waiting for...

Greeting all, It just doesn't look right. Tuc's have done very well. But when a good portion of the LMB being caught are that thin, there might be some serious issues at hand. I've had the opportunity to catch LMB throughout the mainland and oversea's, but have never seen them look this bad. It's no...
