When the fishing gets slow try using live bait. Also I met a guy using chicken liver and he offered me some. We both caught a couple catfish so if you just wanna catch anything try some liver on the bottom. Use a smaller hook then you would on the mainland and a smaller piece of bait. http://www.pos...

wilson desert!

So i went behind the middle school where I like to go to get away from everything and everyone and it was pretty much dried out. There were dried pools of water with dried out fish and bird kaka everywhere. With the fish trapped in the little pools of water are an easy meal for some of the birds. Ju...

Mokai

Have you guys heard of the mokai jet boat. It says 8 hrs on 3 gal. of gas and a top of 15 m.p.h.. It also says it goes in 5 inches of water. That will help in these low water level hardships :lol

June 20,2007

The water level is still up making it harder to fish some of my spots along the bank but the peacocks are active biting almost anything small enough to fit in there mouth. I caught about 5 around the 2 pound range and bigger. One I lost totally bent the hook of my roadrunner almost straight. Most of...

I have seen a bunch of these fish behind the middle school. I mainy see the under branches and they are usually in groups of 2 and 3. I've thrown lures at em but they seem to be pretty skittish. I'll have to bring some bread next time I go.

Another thing people need to consider is the guides of ur pole when using braided line. I have found if ur guides aren't metal Braided line will eventually wear a groove in them and will start to cut the line. I have actually done this to a couple poles. LOL

Hey guys, I was wondering if the peacock bass were still spawning at lake wilson? I was going to head up there tomorrow and try my luck. I really want to top water fish but when I went last week they were not interested. [url=http://upload8.postimage.org/187060/photo_hosting.html][img]http://upload8...
